Through my hundreds of hours of volunteer work related to animals and wildlife, I have gained a very real appreciation for the natural world and the importance of protecting it.
I am comfortable working with all forms of living creatures while respecting their existence as wild animals and not as pets, toys, or photo opportunities.
I am empathy-driven, with a strong desire to succeed and the energy to follow that goal through.
I am a graduate of Northern Illinois University with a degree in Biological Sciences, and a registered member of The Wildlife Society. I have experience both in academic research and live animal care, with over a year's worth of work as a research assistant and 150+ hours working closely with animals at the Fox Valley Wildlife Center in both care and educational outreach.
I have completed a minor in the French language, which I can speak proficiently. I spent multiple college semesters in France talking with French natives.
I have almost a decade of experience in nearly every aspect of audio work, including recording, synthesis, mixing, and composition.
I have done professional work in live sound and have worked dozens of gigs starting from high school through the present. I have also taken formal courses in live audio and advanced recording techniques.
I am technically proficient with all Microsoft Suite programs, Google programs, as well as media tools such as Photoshop, Audcaity, and Sony Vegas. I am used to working with strangers in stressful situations and in a wide variety of settings.
